Hot topic, that. Turns out I have a few hobbies, aside from the normal "developer"/"geek" type hobby of writing code or gaming.
Ok, I admit it - I do game. A lot. Far more than I really should. But it's fun, and it takes my mind off all the things in this world that would otherwise stress me out. So I blow things up, I cut monsters down in their prime, I fly space ships, and I occasionally make fire fly from my fingertips.
But I do have other hobbies.
I love to read. I read 27,000 books a day, and I am never !@#%ing quitting.
(Sorry - I was chanelling Denis Leary there.)
But really, I absolutely love to read. I read everything I can get my hands on.
Recent Reads:
I watch old TV shows like they're brand new and might vanish at any moment.
My recent list:
In case you couldn't tell by this mixed bag of a viewing list, I watch most of this stuff via Netflix Instant Watch. They've just recently added all of the Star Trek episodes (Except Deep Space nine, and we can't blame them there.) to Instant, and I've seen some of them for the first time. It's great, but I'll never catch up.
And back on the topic of gaming, I play.
XBox 360 and PC (and my phone and ipod, but that is another topic).
Lately, on my 360, I'm playing the new Dungeon Siege 3, and Deus Ex 3. On PC, it's currently DC Universe Online. But i'm VERY eagerly awaiting the release of the new Star Wars: The Old Republic. *hop*
Oh, and even more Lately... I got an iPad. That's a bad thing, really. But I love it anyway.
I'm also starting a blog... we'll see how that goes.
